As soon as we met Ed and Sarah, we knew they were the perfect fit for our family. Ed has been an amazing companion for our father and gives our mother much-needed support. He is gentle, sweet, kind, and great at conversations. We are so thankful we found Sarah Smiles.

Sarah SmilePC has been helping us for close to a year now. They have been absolutely great. Never missed a pick up or drop off. Always on time, and super friendly. Their rates are super competitive and invoicing system is simple to use. I would highly recommend them for any transportation needs you may have.

Ed offers an over the top delivery experience, he is always prompt, communicates very well, and is a gentleman helping you bring things in if you need! He’s always my number one go to when I’m looking for assistance. I’m never disappointed!

After being sole caregiver to my husband stricken with Lewy Body Dementia/Parkinsonism for nearly two years, it was time to enlist help. I checked out various agencies, but was not happy with their terms; being locked into a contractual agreement, the rigidity of scheduling, and not being able to interview the caregivers themselves, did not work. Sarah came to my house, listened intently to what our needs were, and most importantly, exhibited true kindness and compassion! She treats us with honest TLC and offers flexibility when needed. When the time came where we needed additional help, Sarah came over with Michelle, Francine, and her husband Ed. They spent the necessary time for my daughters and me to talk with them and formulate a plan tailored to our needs. They, ALL of them are dependable and trustworthy! We’ve been with Sarah Smile since July 2018 and couldn’t be happier with her service! Both my husband and I have and continue to enjoy a better life ever since!

I am writing this letter of recommendation with pleasure on behalf of the owners of Sarah Smile P.C., Ed and Sarah Ragsdale. Ed and Sarah reliably and professionally cared for my father Vincent from 1/18 until his passing from cancer on 11/26/18. The duties they carried out were many and included the following:

Assisting with meal preparation (according to my dad, Sarah made the best breakfast ever), laundry, making beds, doing dishes, grocery shopping, grooming, showering, ambulation, administration of multiple medications in a timely manner, administration of oxygen when needed, physical therapy, household organization, including cleaning the garage and car detailing and transporting him to and from multiple medical appointments.

Ed was a great companion and tried to get my dad out of the house whenever he was well enough.  They used to go out for breakfast and lunch to my dad’s favorite spots, they went fishing and took scenic rides by the ocean. My dad considered Ed his buddy and really enjoyed his companionship and looked forward to seeing him.

My dad always seemed very happy when I called and checked on him, which was at least twice a day. He would tell me the things he and Ed had done that day such as watching their favorite TV shows, baseball games, or exercising. Other days they just sat and talked about my father’s life experiences which prompted Ed to suggest they write a book about my father’s life. They recorded videos, collected old photos, and made audio clips of my father’s stories whenever my dad was able.  These audio clips are now priceless mementos to our family.

On occasion when my father’s companion was out of town they stayed with him and cared for him around the clock for as long as a week at a time. Once when in their care my dad suddenly fell Ill from his recent chemo.  Ed immediately got him to the hospital in the middle of the night, stayed with him, and called me regularly with updates.

Ed and Sarah were on time, reliable and when called upon at the last minute in emergency situations they made every effort to get to him immediately. Since I live in New York it was a great comfort to me to know my father was safe and cared for and that his companion had a reliable organization to count on so she could get a much-needed break. When my dad was in the hospital, which was often, Ed and Sarah would visit him on their own time because they cared about him so much.  They were there with him in the hospital the day he passed and I could see how genuinely upset they were. I would highly recommend Sarah Smile P.C. to anyone who wants a professional compassionate team to care for their loved ones.
